Sustainable Management
Basic Approach of the NIKKON Group
Our Founding Spirit
Contributing to the prosperity of society by acting in consideration of the public nature of transportation
Working hard with our traditional spirit of enterprise and driving efforts for our future development
Establishing sound lifestyles by sharing love, respect, and the spirit of cooperation
Our founder, Tsuneo Kuroiwa, believed that by understanding the public mission of the transportation industry, striving to develop businesses with a spirit of enterprise to contribute to the nation and society, and leading a sound personal life based on mutual respect and aid he could contribute to the development of society and the company and eventually enable employees and their families to live happily.
In 1940, Tsuneo Kuroiwa was a young man working hard as a transporter of goods in Manchuria. He later decided to devote his life to the reconstruction of Japan though transportation, which he had been engaged in before the war. Our founder believed that earning customers' trust through faithful dedication to work is more important than anything else. This belief has been passed down to the present and is reflected in the value creation of the NIKKON Group.
Corporate Philosophy
We will contribute to the prosperity of our customers, shareholders, employees, and society by leading the way in creating common joy, relatable values, and co-existent environment through business logistics based on a global perspective.
Reflecting Our Thoughts in the Logo
The logo of the NIKKON Holdings Group reflects the message we want to deliver as a corporate group and is a symbol of our efforts to continue improving our corporate value with the times, with the aspiration of achieving a sustainable society.
Our Basic Approach to Sustainability
The NIKKON Group strives to help establish a sustainable society and improve our corporate value through the creation of new value through its logistics business based on its Basic Philosophy and Group Code of Conduct.
System for Promoting Sustainability Management
The NIKKON Group believes that enhancing its systematic measures regarding ESG is one of the most important tasks in its businesses. To achieve this, we are pushing forward with more effective ESG activities that enable members of management to be directly involved in our ESG activities, report to the Board of Directors regularly, formulate policies and quickly receive guidance. We established the ESG Promotion Office in July 2021 to promote practical ESG activities. In addition, we also established the Sustainability Committee in October 2021 to further developing the Group's system for the promotion of sustainability management. Through group-wide activities led by eight core companies, we will contribute to the improvement of our corporate value and the sustainable development of society.
